Furan resin self-hardening sand process, referred to as resin sand process, is a common acid self-hardening resin sand, there are a variety of different resin-curing agent matching system, widely used in small and medium batch cast iron cast steel production lines and core-making process. It has the advantages of flexible process, wide adaptation range and easy regeneration. Especially in recent years, with the use of new casting materials-jewelry sand, to further expand the scope of application of the process, reflecting the obvious process advantages.

When using furan resin for jewelry sand, it can not only reduce the amount of resin added, reduce the cost (resin about 12000 yuan/ton), but also improve the production efficiency. The actual production application of medium-sized sand generally uses about 0.7% of the resin addition. According to the size of the casting, 30/50,40/70,50/100, etc. can be used. Due to the decrease of the amount of resin added, the gas emission is greatly reduced and the air permeability is obviously improved, which greatly reduces the probability of defects such as pores in castings.

The furan resin process for jewel sand does not require equipment modification, and is now widely used in the production of various gray iron and ductile iron parts. It is also widely used in the production of various steel castings when using low-nitrogen and nitrogen-free furan resins.
